Ingwer (Jens) Matzen (22 October 1914 in Morsum, district of Niebüll – 29 February 1980 in Flensburg) was a German naval officer and Schnellboot commander and recipient of the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross ((ドイツ語:Ritterkreuz des Eisernen Kreuzes)) in World War II. The Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross was awarded to recognise extreme battlefield bravery or successful military leadership. In 1955 he joined the post-war ''Bundesmarine'' where he held the positions of the first Commander 1. Fast Patrol Boat Squadron (1956 - 1958) and Commander Fast Patrol Boat Command (1964 - 1968). Thus he contributed to rebuilding the German Schnellboot force. Finally, he served as ''Inspizient der Marinewaffen'' (Inspector of naval armaments) in the Marineamt.
